About
Chris Stanley is a photographer, videographer
and online editor based in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. He graduated from
the Boston University College of Communication with a degree in
television and film and a minor in journalism.
For over 20 years he worked as an award-winning photographer, most
recently as a staff photographer for The Reporter, a suburban
Philadelphia daily newspaper.
In 2007 Chris was placed in the forefront of the digital transformation
of the newspaper with a promotion to online editor. This multi-faceted
position included work with website management, video production, audio
slideshows, social networking, writing, copy editing, staff training
and community outreach. He was a member of the intial Idea Lab team for
Journal Register Company, chosen from hundreds of candidates in an open
competition.
The next step was involvement with the set-up, training and support for
a cloud-based editorial system for publications owned by Digital First
Media, the second largest newspaper media company in the United States
and owner of The Reporter.
Once that project was complete, Chris stepped into the world of public
education with the Neshaminy School District in beautiful Bucks County,
Pennsylvania as the Community Relations Coordinator. There he is using
his skills in web site management, writing, videography, photography,
print production and public relations to improve communications in this
large suburban district with 9,200 students and ten schools.
In his spare time, Chris freelances photography for public relations,
municipal, corporate and magazine clients. His work has appears on
several municipal web sites and annual reports, and in E-Gear and
Dealerscope . He also has written stories for E-Gear dealing with the
technology and techniques of digital photography.
For the corporate world he specializes in large-group events such as
sales meetings, award ceremonies and incentive trips, providing onsite
digital photography turned around on tight deadlines for printing and
onsite multi-media productions.
